Letters in response to NSF DCL

The US government plans to dismantle the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR). Watch our video to learn why NCAR is the most important weather lab in the US, and read this article for the latest about the scientists taking the US government to court over NCAR’s future.

The Earth systems science community in the US and beyond have submitted hundreds of responses to the National Science Foundation’s Dear Colleague Letter, all urging the NSF to protect NCAR. The NSF has said that these letters will not be made public. This page aims to publish as many letters as we can.
